Product News Launch
SCHURTER has a long tradition with circuit breakers. In addition to their thermal release (bimetal), the classic TA35 and TA36 are now optionally equipped with an additional magnetic module, which promises reliable protection within milliseconds in the event of very high overcurrent (short circuit).

TA35 / TA36
Thermal-Magnetic Circuit Breakers
- Thermal and magnetic tripping for protection against overcurrent in accordance with IEC 60934
- Super-fast tripping in the event of a short circuit
- Finely graduated rated currents
- Wide range of design options
Thermal Circuit Breakers
Circuit breakers are usually designed according to the thermal principle with a bimetal. If a defined temperature is exceeded due to overcurrent, the electric circuit is interrupted. Once the bimetal cooled down, the appliance is ready for use again. However, if a short circuit occurs, the bimetal cannot react fast enough. For this reason, thermal circuit breakers are usually combined with a fuse.
Additional Magnetic Module
SCHURTER is now upgrading its 2-pole classic TA35 and TA36 models with an additional, optional magnetic module. From now on, no additional fuse is required when using a thermal-magnetic type. Depending on the application, the magnetic modules are available either with a slow or a fast acting characteristic. Both models are designed for snap-in mounting and with finely graduated rated currents. A variety of colors and lighting options make the designer's choice easier. The SCHURTER TA35 has a more classic style, while its TA36 counterpart comes in a more modern design. A circuit breaker with a short circuit protection is mainly meant for applications, where a full protection on the primary side is required.
