Add-on for Siemens NX: Increasing 3D CAD File Reuse with simus classmate
In this video, we show how simus classmate helps increase the reuse of 3D CAD data by enabling fast, intelligent part searches directly within the familiar NX environment.
Integrated seamlessly into NX, simus classmate automatically classifies CAD models in the background based on their geometry and supports users by filling in part attributes automatically. This makes it easy to search for parts using specific parameters such as category, dimensions, or features like hole patterns.
Within seconds, the software provides a shortlist of matching parts, allowing engineers to open and reuse existing designs immediately instead of creating new ones from scratch.
