NewAge® Industries manufactures a broad line of tubing and hose made from this versatile material, including platinum cured styles to ensure the fewest number of extractables. Silicone has long been used for medical tubing, as it meets that industry’s requirements for cleanliness and non-toxicity and is non-reactive to body issues and fluids. Another of silicone’s major features – resistance to extreme temperature variations – has enabled its use in applications where flexible tubing is needed to handle temperatures not possible with other plastics or rubbers – those from -100°F to as high as 500°F (-73°C to 260°C). Silicone tubing generally exhibits inertness toward U.V. radiation and ozone, making it an excellent choice for electrically-associated applications. Both industrial and medical/biopharmaceutical grades are manufactured. All of NewAge’s silicone tubing and hose is made in U.S.A.
