Laser scanner offers new performance level for series applications
Precision,
versatility and a compact design are often decisive characteristics in
industrial series applications. The new scanCONTROL 2500 laser profile scanners
from Micro-Epsilon are specially designed to meet these high requirements while
being positioned in a favorable price segment.
In production lines and automation processes,
sensors must respond to high requirements in terms of precision and design when
solving measurement tasks such as the inspection of adhesive beads or edge
detection. The new scanCONTROL 2500 laser profile scanners from Micro-Epsilon
combine these characteristics and offer, in addition, a favorable
price/performance ratio, particularly for serial applications. Their advantages
can be found in their compact and lightweight design without requiring an
external controller, their high signal stability and their various interfaces
that enable easy integration into machines.
The laser scanners are available in two
performance classes as COMPACT and SMART sensors.

The laser scanners are available in two

The COMPACT laser profile scanners transmit
raw profiles and are integrated into the customer software. Operating according
to the international GigE Vision standard, they can also be integrated in
industrial image processing systems.
The scanCONTROL 2510 SMART sensors provide
selected measurement values which are evaluated in the sensor. Configuration
and parameter setup is via the scanCONTROL Configuration Tools software. All
settings are directly stored in the sensor which autonomously performs the
measurements. Connection to a PC or controller is not necessary. The sensor
executes up to four measuring programs in parallel while delivering four
measurement results per profile. This is how the sensor measures, among other
things, angles, steps, and gaps at high precision.
