Haugsrud helped in the development of transfer thermoset technology during the 1940s, he was astute enough to recognize that the emerging marketplace demands for precision engineering and high tolerance plastics would require a company that could meet and supply these increasingly complex needs.

So, in 1968, he founded Arlington Industries as a state-of-the-art resource to meet the industry’s changing needs. Today, his son, John N. Haugsrud, President, carries on the legacy of creative design and precision engineering that began in 1968.
