MicroE Systems to display latest optical encoder system at SPS 2013
MicroE Systems will be displaying its range of position encoders and advanced encoder technology at SPS 2013 at Exhibition Center Nüremberg from 26 28 November 2013.
At SPS 2013, MicroE Systems will be featuring the new Optical Positioning Sensor (OPS) Series, which delivers high performance and advanced positioning system features. The OPS sensor is equipped with MicroEs patented optical design and features built-in interpolation and AGC ensuring optimal performance and reliability. OPS can be configured with optical limits to reduce cabling and works with MicroEs cut-to-length linear tape, cost-effective linear glass, and rotary glass scales, minimizing total cost of ownership.
Multiple mounting configurations are available and intuitive tools make installation and commissioning fast and simple. A dual-purpose LED in the sensor simplifies installation and provides real time indication of system health.

MicroE Systems will also be displaying the Micro Tape Encoder (MTE) Series, which is extremely compact (20.6mm x 12.7mm x 8.4mm), installs easily, and is offered with a status LED built into the sensor to provide a clear indication of system health during operation. Top mount and side mount configurations are available. No external alignment tools are needed for installation. MTE encoders are available in factory set resolutions of 5µm, 2.5µm and 1um and are an ideal choice for linear applications where space and cost constraints and rapid time to market are critical.
Also on display will be MicroE Systems renowned PCB-mounted Compact Encoders. Mercury 1200 and 1500P deliver up to 78nm resolution in an extremely compact and light package (5.6mm installed height, 2g weight). ChipEncoder is offered with up to 1µm resolution in an even smaller package (3.1mm installed height, 0.6g weight), enabling machine and instrument designers to achieve rapid accelerations and high throughputs in applications where size and mass are critical.
