MicroE Systems to display latest encoder products at COMPAMED 2013
MicroE Systems will be showcasing its range of position encoders and advanced encoder technology at COMPAMED 2013 at Messe Düsseldorf from 20 22 November 2013.
MicroE Systems is a world leader in optical encoder technology and will highlight its latest products at COMPAMED, including the new MTE and OPS product lines.
The MTE series of encoders are extremely compact (20.6mm x 12.7mm x 8.4mm), easy to install, and are offered with a status LED built into the sensor to provide a clear indication of system health during operation. No external alignment tools are needed for installation. MTE encoders are available in factory set resolutions of 5µm, 2.5µm and 1um and are an ideal choice for linear applications where space and cost constraints and rapid time to market are critical.

MicroE Systems will also be displaying the OPS optical encoder series, which can be configured with 100% optical index and limits, and works with MicroEs cut-to-length linear tape, cost-effective linear glass, and rotary glass scales, minimizing total cost of ownership. A dual-purpose status LED in the sensor and intuitive installation tools make system commissioning fast and simple.
OPSs low cyclical error enables high positioning accuracy and smooth velocity control. With linear resolutions of 1µm, 0.5µm, 0.1µm and 50µm, and rotary resolutions of 163k CPR to 3.3M CPR, OPS fits many different applications.
Also on display will be MicroE Systems renowned PCB-mounted Compact Encoders. Mercury 1200 and 1500P deliver up to 78nm resolution in an extremely compact and light package (5.6mm installed height, 2g weight). ChipEncoder is offered with up to 1µm resolution in an even smaller package (3.1mm installed height, 0.6g weight). The same Mercury and ChipEncoder sensor can be used in linear and rotary applications, enabling machine and instrument designers to achieve rapid accelerations and high throughputs in applications where size and mass are critical.
