Freedom From Lubrication in a Miniature Format

igus® presents several additions of the DryLin® T family. One of which is a slide with adjustable bearing clearance for the size 12 and a completely new size 07, that is now the smallest version of the DryLin T linear technology construction kit.

East Providence, RI – September 1, 2013 – With the same dimensions as many of the other ball-bearing guided linear systems, DryLin T miniature systems are ideal for applications with little available space and where lubrication-free and quite operation are required. Like any other DryLin T series, the new components are based on the proven combination of a hard-anodized aluminum guide rail and wear-resistant gliding elements made of high performance polymers.

The running clearance can be easily adjusted
Users now have the possibility to solve their linear positioning requirements with low-costs and precision. A KTL coating protects the zinc die-cast slide against corrosion, so the adjustability of the clearance is guaranteed even after longer operations in harsh environments.

Freedom From Lubrication in a Miniature Format
The new TW-04-12 bearing clearance can be adjusted with a few turns of a screwdriver for enhanced precision.

The smallest size: DryLin TK-04-07
The new size 07 offers maximum space saving with a window of 8 mm and 17 mm slide for even smaller space restraints. DryLin TK-04-07 offers engineers the advantages of lubrication-free linear technology on a small scale.

Ideal for measurement and medicine technology
DryLin T miniature guides are appropriate for space saving applications in the field of measurement and medicine technology, laboratory devices and also vision or sensor-positioning applications.

“DryLin T is ideal for sensor positioning on many packaging machine applications”, says Matt Mowry, igus DryLin National Product Manager, “Particularly on vertical form-seal machines that currently use metal-on-metal slides. As with all igus products, these slides are lubrication-free, making them an even more ideal choice for sensitive packaging environments”.
