Announcing the FLIR Lepton 3.5 Thermal by FLIR Maker Challenge

To celebrate the availability of the FLIR Lepton® 3.5 thermal microcamera to manufacturers and product innovators, today we’re announcing the Thermal by FLIR Maker Challenge featuring the Lepton 3.5.  Aimed at gadget-making hobbyists (aka Makers), the grand prize winner will receive a trip to Santa Barbara, California to the FLIR factory where the Lepton is made, to show their prototype and tour the facility.

Details 

The Lepton 3.5 can read temperatures up to 400 degrees Celsius, which is the highest temperature range to date. Makers will use the FLIR Lepton 3.5 to make something cool, unique, or even life-saving.  

To enter, competitors must first submit their idea to FLIR no later than April 30, 2018. Submissions details can be found here: https://lepton.flir.com/maker-challenge/

The FLIR Lepton team will select five finalists to receive a Lepton 3.5 and a new GroupGets Thermal by FLIR Board (PureThermal 2 is a hackable thermal webcam for the FLIR Lepton 3.5 LWIR camera cores) to build a prototype and make their idea a reality.  We’ll select a winner who will receive the grand prize of a trip to FLIR in Santa Barbara to meet the Lepton team and pitch their winning design and  a $500 credit with GroupGets.
